Revalidations & Renewals SEP & MEP

Revalidation or renewal?

What is the difference between revalidating and renewing a rating?

  • Revalidation means carrying out the necessary process to keep the flying skills active. It is crucial to perform this revalidation process before the rating expires.

  • Renewal implies that the rating has already expired and that the revalidation process has not been properly executed at the appropriate time.
