INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION IN CALIFORNIA

NEWS

HAI Heli-Expo 2020 concludes successfully in Anaheim. This year’s event was packed with business, new technology, advancements in safety, and professional training.

The four-day event brought together thousands of attendees from around the world, focusing their attention on all sectors of the aviation and helicopter industry.

During the event, attendees had the opportunity to see first-hand the 60 aircraft on display at the event, including a presentation of NASA’s Mars helicopter.

The event covered around 30,000m2 of exhibition space with 657 exhibiting companies. The aircrafts on display ranged from small training helicopters to large business class multi-engine aircraft, as well as concept models and the latest models in the final stages of the certification process. This year’s event also had a considerable presence of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and drones.

“HAI Heli-Expo is the only truly important event for the commercial helicopter industry,” says Jim Viola, President and CEO of HAI. “People come from all over the world to find something for their vertical lift business, and they find it here. If they wanted to buy a helicopter, get safety training, meet vendors or suppliers of parts and services, or get professional guidance, they could find it in Anaheim this year”.

Training is another important element if the events  last year, and this year was no exception. The calendar of events included more than 150 courses, workshops, seminars, forums and meetings. A free Rotor Safety Challenge session drew nearly 4,000 attendees.

“We are already looking forward to next year’s show,” added Viola. “Actually, work is underway for HAI Heli-Expo 2021 in New Orleans, where we hope our attendees have a great time”.

The exhibition dates in 2021 are March 22-25, with the exhibition floor open from March 23-25.
