This WA Flight Academy program is created to offer a course for those pilots who need PBN certification and this update their licences according to the new regulations.
The PBN Course is an essential requirement for all instrumental ratings (IR) from 2020, which must therefore be supported by an Approach Procedure Certification in PBN (Performance Based Navigation, through the completion of the course in an authorized ATO.
PBN-based navigation is the most practical solution for regulating new navigation system technology.
The PBN theoretical program consists of 8 theoretical hours, focusing especially on identifying flight procedures associated with PBN navigation, different associated systems, sensors and functionalities that will guarantee to reach the required level to take the exam, always under our premise of professional excellence.
Later, once the theoretical phase has been passed, the flight phase in the A320 Level D simulator will be passed, where all the different PBN approach modalities will be reviewed in detail, with their different special and abnormal procedures for each specific situation, analyzing this approach modality in detail.

This session consists of 1 hour per student of the FFS A320 simulator, where all the mandatory approaches will be carried out according to the regulations to obtain the PBN certificate and be able to attach it to the license of each pilot.
Special attention will be paid to the briefings, and de-briefings where the flight profile and the objectives of this session are carefully prepared. All the necessary considerations will be taken by the instructor in accordance to learning objectives and competencies.
